"Sonntag klingt gut" Finissage mit sexsoundsystem am 18.07.2010

Zum Ausklang der Ausstellung legen sexsoundsystem (Anneli Käsmayr, Branka Colic, Paul Michael von Ganski) ihre Auswahl  von Tanzmusik auf. Bei Kaffee und Kuchen lädt  die Mixtur aus Deep Disco, House und Poly Techno zum Hören und Tanzen ein und läßt den Abend in groovige  Clubatmosphäre übergehen.

Einfache Musik gegen Langspielplatte und Kennerschaft. Als Gitarrist gescheitert, als Discjockey in Sottrum und im Satansclub (Bremen) kurzzeitig auf dem Höhepunkt seiner musikalischen Sozialisation ist Kinki Texas´ Zugang zur Musik spontan und banal im positiven Sinne.
Sie sind herzlich eingeladen diese musikalische Odyssee nachträglich noch einmal zu durchleben, im Anschluss Grillen am Deich. Vorstellen der Sonderedition "sex- can´t find no sex in the record shop" mit Grafiken vom Künstler, Auflage 10 Stück.

Simple music against Longplaying record and connoisseurship. Failed as a guitar player, the Artist Kinki Texas had the short-time peak of his musical socialisation as Discjockey in Sottrum and in the Satansclub (Bremen). Kinki´s access to music is spontaneous and primitive in the positive way. You are very welcome to join this muscial Odyssee followed by Barbecue behind the house by the water. Presentation of the special 10 piece edition of the LP "sex- can´t find no sex in the record shop"with drawings by the artist.

RANDOM/CliK! ... MABUKU & PHLEX am Freitag, den 16.07.2010/ 18h!

Martin, Sic und Olli ... nicht Gleichalt, nicht zusammen studiert, nicht in der selben Stadt aufgewachsen oder ähnliches. Durch eine große Liebe zusammengekommen, „Black Music“, ja doch ... sehr gerne aus der bekannten Motorcity.

Kennen gelernt haben sie sich im Plattenladen, Club und an der Bar... mal eben heimlich den Anderen beim Durchblättern der Titel beobachten, - kennen wir doch alle: „Mist, jetzt holt er sich doch die Scheibe...
Musikalisch offener Background zeichnet die Jungs aus... über die alten LP’s der Eltern, 80s, pop, soul, funk, indie, disco, hip hop... zu techno und house gekommen. Aber bitte immer mit einer gehörigen Portion an etwas... Gefühl.
Sonst sind die drei am studieren / arbeiten / und professionell abhängen; P legen hier und da auf ... auch in Bremen auf der eigenen Veranstaltung, mit Gästen wie u.a. Marcel Dettmann, Efdemin, Lawrence, Patrice Scott, Rick Wade... und nehmen häufig und gerne Einladungen aus Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin an. Einige Mixe von den Jungs kursieren im Netz und werden ab und an von schönen Blogs wie „Keep it Deep“ oder „Monday Edition“ supported...

Heute Abend erzählen die drei wie sie nach Bremen gekommen sind, sich genau kennen gelernt haben, die Bremer Clubszene, haben einen Haufen an Musik dabei und wollen euch hauptsächlich einen kleinen intimen Blick in Ihr Musikerherz bieten...

Martin, Sic and Olli... not same age, not studied together, not grown up in the same city. Came together through a big love, "black music", and yes, preferrably out of the well known motor city.
They first met in the records shop, club and bar, secretely watching the other guy going through the tracks- we all know how: "Damn, he´s getting that hot one..."
Their musical background is very open, they came to techno and house via their parents´music, 80ies, pop, soul, funk, indie, disco, hip hop... But always with this very special... emotion.

Other than that the three of them are studying, working and chilling on a professional side, play music here and there...also in Bremen with own parties with guests like Marcel Dettmann, Efdemin, Lawrence, Patrice Scott, Rick Wade... and are often and willingly invited to Berlin, Leipzig and Hamburg. Some of the boys´mixes circulate in the web and are somtimes supported by nice blogs such as „Keep it Deep“ or „Monday Edition“.

Tonight the three boys will talk about how they came to Bremen, about the local music scene and share their loads of music in giving you a very special insight into their musicians´hearts.

Thomas Meinecke am 15. Juli 2010 um 18 Uhr

Er (*1955) ist Musiker, Autor und DJ. Schon 1978 gründete er mit Kommilitonen die Literaturzeitschrift "Mode und Verzweiflung". 1980 entstand daraus die Band F.S.K. (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle), die bis heute in fast gleicher Besetzung aktiv ist. Meinecke schreibt seit über zehn Jahren Bücher, in denen sich Geschichten ereignen wo Musik eine zentrale Rolle einnimmt. Es ist fast so, daß der Leser beim Lesen den jeweiligen Soundtrack der Geschichte hören kann. Meineckes Erzähstil hat viel vom "Sampling", das als Methode in der Musik existiert. So entstehen Pop-Romane, in denen er sich mit verschiedenen Themen aus den vergangenen hundert Jahren Kulturgeschichte auseinandersetzt, u. a. mit Popkultur und -musik, der deutschen, jüdischen und afrikanischen Diaspora in den USA, und den Geschlechterrollen. Ob das schon die ganze Wahrheit ist? wir werden es rausfinden, wenn er bei uns zu Gast ist.

He (*1955) is Musician, Writer and DJ. In 1978 together with fellow students he founded the literature magazine "Mode und Verzweiflung - Fashion and dispair". Two years later it became the band F.S.K (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle - Voluntary self control), which still exists today. Meinecke writes books since more than ten years, stories which evolve always from a musical background and the reader almost can hear this "Soundtrack" while he gets into the story. He writes pop culture novels which deal with the last hundred years of cultural history, such as pop music, German, Jewish and African-American diaspora in the USA and Gender.

Tiina Takkula am 10. Juli 2010 um 18 Uhr!

Tiina Takkula, Hobby DJ und Teilzeit-VJ aus Bremen.
Ihre erste selbstgekaufte Schallplatte war: A-HA, Scoundrel Days. Als sie mit der Platte nach Hause kam, hat ihr Vater prophezeit, dass sie die niemals vergessen würde. Wahrscheinlich kann sie sich genau deshalb an die Platte erinnern, weil er das damals zu ihr gesagt hat. Obwohl sie Musik immer wichtig fand, hat die Kulturwissenschaftlerin sich seitdem hauptsächlich mit dem Produzieren von Bildern beschäftigt. Wenn sie beides verbinden kann, umso besser.
Als unser Gast wird Tiina einen Abend lang alte Platten ihrer Eltern spielen und diese zum Verkauf anbieten. Sollte sie dabei von der Nostalgie gepackt werden, kann es sein, dass sie sich das mit dem Verkaufen spontan anders überlegt. Neben den aussortierten Platten ihrer Eltern bringt sie ihre eigene Lieblingsmusik mit, pathetisches Zeug, das Bilder im Kopf provoziert und produziert.

Tiina Takkula, Bremen based Hobby-DJ and part time-VJ. Her first LP: A-HA, Scoundrel Days. When she came home with it her Dad predicted that she would never forget that first one. Probably it´s because of that he told her that she does remember that LP.
Although Tiina thought music was always important she mainly works with creating images. If she can connect the two, even better.

As our guest Tiina will bring her parents records, play some and offer them on sale. If she´ll find herself in some feeling of nostalgia it might happen though that she´ll keep them. Aside of those parental records she´ll bring her own favorite music along, lofty stuff which provokes and creates images in one´s head.

Wiebke Colmorgen (*1974) ist freie Moderatorin und Autorin, sie arbeitet u.a. für Flux FM als Reporterin, macht Beiträge für das NDR Info Nachtclub Magazin und lädt sich gerne Hamburger Musiker auf eine musikalische Plauderei in ihre Sendung von Rockcity Radio ein. Im Oktober 2009 ist zudem auch ihr Film-Debut "Auf den Spuren der Dorfpunks" erschienen - eine Lokal-Investigativ-Reportage über den Lütjenburger Untergrund, wenn es ihn denn gibt. Am liebsten interviewt Wiebke interessante Menschen. Noch Fragen? Frau Colmorgen stellt sie Ihnen gerne.

Wiebke Colmorgen (*1974) is a freelance radio chat-show host and author, she works for Flux FM as reporter, contributes features for the NDR Info Nachtclub Magazin and likes to invite local musicians into her show on Rockcity Radio for a littel musical chit chat. In october 2009 she released her movie debut "Auf den Spuren der Dorfpunks"- a local investigative report about the undergound of Lütjenburg, if that exists. Hendrik Warnke & Daniel Bregulla am 8. Juli 2010 um 18 Uhr!

Hendrik (*1977) und Daniel (*1975) arbeiten seit einigen Jahren bei dem Hamburger Vinyl-Vertrieb wordandsound.net. An diesen angeschlossen ist www.whatpeopleplay.com, ein digital Shop für mp3s und wav-Dateien aus verschiedensten Bereichen der hauptsächlich elektronischen Clubmusik, um welchen sich diese beiden kümmern.

Neben ihrer eigentlichen Arbeit für den DigitalShop, welcher weitestgehend den Plattenhändler um die Ecke nachempfindet, legen die Herren auch auf - und man glaubt es kaum - mit 100% Vinyl. Wir sind gespannt.

It´s connected to the digital mp3 and wav shop whatpeopleplay.com which offers a great selection mainly from electronic club music. Next to their main job for the digital sales shop, which is based on the real life record shop around the corner, both Gentlemen are DJs as well using -hard to believe- 100% vinyl. Antonio Narvaez (BCN) am 02. Juli 2010 Start 18h30!

Antonio ist Jazz DJ und Musikfotograf. Er ist ein Macher und gleichzeitig leidenschaftlicher Beobachter. Der gebürtige Chilene (*1944) lebt seit über 20 Jahren in Barcelona. Als Fotograf hat Antonio sich auf die Musikszene spezialisiert mit einem besonderen Faible für Jazz, Blues & Flamenco. Wenn er nicht gerade auf dem freien Radiosender Contrabanda FM eine seiner beiden Jazzsendungen macht, trifft man ihn wahrscheinlich irgendwo in Gracia im Gespräch mit alten Bekannten auf einer Parkbank oder er kocht in seiner WG für Gäste.
Für uns hat er seine 30 Lieblingsplatten mitgebracht.

Just von Ahlefeld (*1977), Hamburger, macht so ziemlich alles, was mit Musik zu tun hat. Er arbeitet unter dem Namen Dionne als DJ, ist Produzent, Club-Veranstalter sowie Mitinhaber von dem kleinen und sympathischen Plattenladen Smallville, der auch das gleichnamige Label betreibt.
Uns wird er ein bißchen über Smallville erzählen, für was der Name steht & was das Label musikalisch ausmacht, welche seine erste Lieblingsplatte war und wo es die besten Franzbrötchen gibt.
